Job Summary:

Volantis Professional Flight School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Flight Instructor (FI) to join our aviation training team in Brno, Czech Republic. The FI will be responsible for providing flight instruction to student pilots, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve their pilot certification. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for aviation, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance with all EASA regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Flight Instruction:
    • Conduct flight training for students at various stages of their pilot education, including Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Instrument Rating (IR), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), and beyond.
    • Provide ground instruction on aviation theory, regulations, navigation, meteorology, and aircraft systems.
  • Student Progress:
    • Monitor and evaluate student progress through written assessments, practical exams, and one-on-one feedback sessions.
    • Develop individualized training plans to address the strengths and weaknesses of each student.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all training activities are conducted in accordance with EASA regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings to emphasize safety protocols and best practices.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student training progress and flight hours.
    • Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory authorities and the flight school administration.
  • Aircraft Management:
    • Perform routine pre-flight and post-flight inspections of training aircraft to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
    • Report any maintenance issues promptly to the maintenance team.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay current with aviation trends, EASA regulations, and new instructional techniques through continuous education and training. 
    • Participate in regular instructor meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Certification:
    • Valid EASA Certified Flight Instructor (FI) certificate with privileges to provide PPL(A) training.
    • Additional FI e,f,h,i,j privileges or IRI, CRI-ME, IRI-ME licence preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 200 hours of flight instruction given.
    • Experience with diverse aircraft types and avionics systems is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid EASA Medical Certificate.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
    • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
